Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park

Tsavo East National Park is a sprawling wilderness that forms part of the larger Tsavo Conservation Area in Kenya. It covers approximately 13,747 square kilometres, making it one of the country’s largest and oldest national parks. Located in the southeastern part of Kenya, Tsavo East is celebrated for its unspoiled natural beauty, diverse ecosystems, and abundant wildlife.

This park offers visitors an opportunity to immerse themselves in a truly Kenya Safari experience. The park’s most famous landmarks are the Yatta Plateau, the world’s longest lava flow, and the Galana River, a vital water source for animals. Witness breathtaking sunrises and sunsets as you explore this expansive wilderness.

Best Time To Visit

The Best Time to visit Tsavo East National Park is during the dry season from June to October. During these months, wildlife congregates around the park’s water sources, making animal sightings more frequent and accessible. The dry conditions also make for clearer skies and more pleasant safari experiences.

December to March is also a good time to visit, as it is less crowded than the peak months, and you can still expect good wildlife viewing. The rainy season, from April to May, can make the park’s roads difficult to navigate and wildlife sightings less frequent.
